Seed Details:
Bubbly medium green leaves on vigorous plants. Tasty and crispy, buttery flavour for those summer spinach salads.Excellent fresh or cooked.
Instructions:
Sow 2 cm deep. Direct seed when earth can be worked. Successive plantings can be made every 3 weeks until 4 weeks before the first fall frost.
Habitat:
Extremely cold hardy and fall plantings may overwinter in climates with sub-zero temperatures. Will not bolt unless the temperature rises above 32 degrees C.
Historic Uses:
The leafy green is an excellent source of vitamin K, vitamin A, magnesium, folate, manganese, iron, calcium, vitamin C, vitamin B2, potassium, and vitamin B6. Its source of protein, phosphorus, vitamin E, zinc, dietary fibre, and copper. Plus, it's a good source of selenium, niacin, and omega-3 fatty acids.
