Produces 10 to 14 inch long, 3 inch wide slightly curved, deep green fruits on vigorously growing vines. Good choice for pickling, snacking and in sandwiches and salads. Very dependable producers with delicious flavour and juiciness. Perfect salad toppers and firm enough for decorative garnishes. Best grown in trellises.
Instructions
In cooler climates, start seeds indoors 10-15 days before the last frost, or sow seeds directly when the soil is at least 70°F. Plant seeds 18" apart if trellised or 36" apart if not trellised. Grow in rich, fertile soil. Even moisture improves flavour.

Plant cucumbers in full sun, in well drained soil rich in organic matter Raised beds or mounds are suggested. This allows teh soil to retain heat throughout the season that cucumbers thrive on. Adding several inches of aged compost and or aged manure into the planting beds before sowing or transplanting. Throughout the season, side-dress plant with aged compost. Compost is nutrient-rich and moisture retentive and will help feed the cucumber, assisting it to produce it bountiful harvest.
Its skin is most valuable as the cell salts and vitamins are in and near it. Hence it should not be peeled. The cucumber is a dependable laxative food. It helps treat urinary tract disorders and has long been known for its use as a beauty aid.
