Seed Details
Evening Primrose is amazingly easy to grow plant. It has sunshine yellow, slightly phosphorescent flowers (great for moon gardens) that open in the evenings accompanied by a modest scent. Larger planting will be noticeably fragrant and increase your moon garden glow factor. Evening Primrose is popular in Moon Gardens as it flowers only open in the evening. Bees, butterflies and hummingbirds are often witnessed getting their evening snacks from the freshly opened flowers. All parts of this plant are edible; flowers as a salad garnish leaves cooked as greens and the roots boiled like potatoes. Provides flowers from summer to frost. Evening Primroses' scent has been described as flowery and fresh, and at the same time woody and spicy.

Seeds were used by the Lakota Indians as an aromatic, mixed with other herbs as a stimulant; the Cherokee used the leaves for tea to cure obesity and the Ojibwa made a tea of the whole plant to apply to bruises. Is an excellent way to attract butterflies and hummingbirds like a magnet.
